From its inception in 2007, Metalfrog Studios Limited has grown exponentially into the full service digital marketing agency you see today. Born out of a passion for doing things better, we have proven that our unique business model is what businesses need, and our own business has flourished as a result.
Back in 2007, our founder and managing director, Chris Wheeler, had a vision of a better way to do web design. At that time it was the ‘norm’ to go to one company for your website design, another for your SEO and someone else again for your marketing. Armed with years of experience of designing and developing websites for a range of businesses, Chris believed there was another way to do things.
Metalfrog was born, and immediately we started to see the benefits of Chris’ all in one approach. Businesses were saving time, money and effort by allowing our agency to handle all their digital marketing needs, and within a few years the company had grown from a handful of employees to a full, busy office of industry professionals.
In 2011, Metalfrog received the ultimate boost when they were picked as a winner for Theo Paphitis’ ‘Small Business Sunday’ initiative. The boom in trade and increased exposure probably contributed to Metalfrog receiving their second award in 2012, when they were picked by the Eastern Daily Press as a Future 50 company.
So rapid was our growth, Metalfrog soon outgrew our existing business premises, moving to a new location at Horsham St Faith in 2013. Soon after this, we received government approval to develop apps for various departments, collaborating with leading agencies around the UK to deliver this project.
By 2013, our overall revenue had increased to £360,000 from £220,000 the previous year. This gave us the scope to introduce a new social media management team and to invest in more technology for the future.
